Stadia Premiere Edition code not working

Hi, I received an email with the code to redeem the premier edition, when I click the link it says it will be applied upon checkout, it did not, when I tried to enter manually it says the promo code does not apply.

I did not realise at first and clicked buy now but then cancelled it straight away when I noticed the error.

I had the exact same issue but I got it working by following a suggestion on reddit.

Go to the Google store, if it's already in your basket then remove it. Then manually find it on the Google store and add it again- that version worked with the code for me. It seems the one the link in email adds to basket doesn't, even though it's the same product...
