On Oct. 6, the Stadia mouse and keyboard matchmaking pool will be closed. Since launch, Stadia has given us the ability to reach a wider audience for new and returning players on an additional platform. As the service evolved, we found that a predominant amount of our players preferred to play with a controller. Due to this, we’ve decided to focus on the Stadia controller matchmaking pool, helping maximize our Battle Royale experience for players and giving them the best experience possible. While the consolidation of both matchmaking pools was explored, we felt that keeping a controller only queue was critical to upholding the competitive integrity of the player experience, as is the case with all our platforms. Hey there Anthony, I recommend taking a look at PUBG's Console Update 8.3 Patch Notes. It states the following:
That (separate servers based on control type) is exactly what happened with the game at launch, and the number of players using KB&M wasn't enough (in PUBG Corp's opinion) to justify maintaining them, so KB&M was removed from the game.
That is total bull**bleep**, Why do you make us play a nice FPS game on a **bleep**in gamepad. Let us play on keyboard and mouse
Hey there Anthony, I recommend taking a look at PUBG's Console Update 8.3 Patch Notes. It states the following:
With the consequence that I haven't touched the game since on Stadia and never will...
and I really enjoyed playing it on Stadia with a mouse and keyboard.
I know it's not your fault or decision, but you must have seen the numbers drop after that change?
I use a wireless keyboard and mouse on my computer its is far superior to a joystick. This goes to the dumb debate of console vs PC. Appease both, or you will get a wrath of all the PC keyboard and mouse lovers like me that will quit Stadia. I'm done--canceling my subscription today.
Stadia and pubg just lost players. I only have a crappy pc so stadia was the only way for me to play pubg. I do not have a controller so i can not play anymore. T
"Just".
This change happened over 3 months ago.
Tired to play with k&m on cross-platform as I am constrained to use a pad..
What I sent to PUBG website today:
I am playing on stadia, k&m at start, then pad as I didnt have a choice.
This days Keyboard and mouse is now commonly use on xbox and PS4/5.
Could PUBG team reconsider letting Stadia player use it?
So f***** unfair.
Seriously. Just put the keyboard and mouse back in , CONTROLLER is terrible for playing shooters
Hi at all, for me it is not a problem play with controller.
I think that the most BIG BIG BIG problem of PUBG is match-making because I am a "casual player" at level 6 in this season and it is not possible find always players at level 500 in every game!
It's obvious that I lose the game. A player at level 500 has played more games than me and he is more expert.
please adjust the match making for increase the fun and not for increase the frustation of casual player.
UPDATE OF 16/03/2021: seriously I definitely leave PUBG on Stadia. It's a shame that I need to wait in lobby around 1 minute and wait to start the game 2 or 3 minutes, all the matches! When finally I am in, the enemies are always at level 500, with super vision and super aim.
Thanks a lot
Redentore
The decision to cease supporting keyboard and mouse is absolutely ridiculous. Finally had time to play PUBG again after starting a family and giving up my gaming PC for the more sensible Studios, and yet I'm blocked at the first hurdle.
Stadia needs to make supporting multiple control types mandatory, else people will just go back to PC.
Stadia sucks for pubg players.
