So I’m debating on buying Stadia I’ve been hearing good things along with the bad! What could I benefit from most being a console guy? Would you also pick Stadia for your Next gen console

Yes, I would pick Stadia as my "next gen console". These are the reasons why:

  • Pros:
    Portable.
    No need to download updates.
    No console required.
    Can launch a game instantly.
    Can play on multiple devices.
Does not take up space for set-up/station.
    No discs.
No need for extra storage space.
No need to update hardware/software (because servers are updated behind the scenes).
No need to pay to play multiplayer.

There are Cons obviously.

  • Cons:  (as of this post)
    No offline play.
    Smaller game library.
    Less players.
    Strong internet connection is necessary.
Potentially less fun because lag/stutters, if you have a weak internet connection.
Pay for "access" to game as opposed to possession. Without a console or disc, you have no physical possession of your games.

I'm quite satisfied with Stadia though. I hope this helps!

For me the biggest selling point was no updates or downloads at all. The biggest drawbacks are low playerbase and small ( but growing ) game library. If your internet is stable its dedinitely worth using the 1 month trial, then decide after.

Hi and welcome @Joshua2K

for me it's the fan-less gameplay. No irritating noise that disturbs the immersive feeling of playing a game
