Am I the only one when they see a season pass/paywall window pop up in a game.. their blood sets on fire and everything they may have loved about the game just goes completely in the trash?.
You log into a game. You get greeted with this amazing storyline or cinematic intro. You play through an exciting tutorial.
Your character loads and before you can even move. *BOOM* Giant BOX on your screen displaying items you can buy and season passes.
I seriously force myself to dredge through games I love for the gameplay but it feels like a bad relationship each time I get notified of a season pass. You're happy to play but the moment they come home, you roll your eyes and contemplate jumping out of the balcony window.
Also don't say " well bro... it's optional". Actually no, it's NOT. It's mandatory for the pop ups, there are games with legendary item sets that you can only get from season exclusives.
As far as I'm concerned if the mechanics alone aren't good enough to keep the crowd. You are a trash developer.
Can we get a feature to filter between Season Pass and Non-Season Pass based games?
