I'm playing Metro Exodus and I've noticed that the save games files are saved in a different timezone to me. i.e. I am in the UK and when I save a game it put a time 8 hours earler next to it. I've checked and this is UTC, is there any way to change the time region so that it matches UK?
Thanks
Seeing the same issue in AC:Valhalla
Funny, I'm playing Valhalla and noticed the same last night. I have changed the subject of my original post to see if it gets any attention.
I'm guessing the servers where the game instances run probably just use UTC since they don't have a way of knowing which time zone may actually be correct for a given user. I do the same with the servers I manage for work so I'm pretty used to it.
It would be cool if a game could store a user's TZ and localize the time format accordingly, but that would likely need to be implemented within the game itself rather than from the Stadia side of things. Still, definitely use the in-app feedback option to share your thoughts on this with the Stadia dev team!
As a stopgap, they could just use the time zone the server you are connected to is in. This would solve the problem for probably 90 percent of folks.
Same problem with cyberpunk
