STADIA/STEAM

So it seems Sony/EPIC have a thing going on where a lot of prior playstation games are appearing on epic

and MS has a few of it's first party games appearing on steam, hell for minecraft it's appearing on sony/nintendo/pc/mobile, MS seems to be more open to not trapping you inside the console ecosystem but offering you  a  better value in terms of pricing if you do.

I'd like to see STADIA first party games appearing on GOG/STEAM especially if it has some online focus it would open the door for more users to play with, I assume it would have to be games with an ALWAYS online DRM though.

Believe it or not Onlive had a feature called Cloudlift that allowed you to stream your Steam games over the internet. There is a precedent for that to work . But it’s a business deal that would have to be made between Steam and Google or whom ever.

He's saying he wants Google to put their games on Steam. Seems pointless. Their games will utilize their servers and features. Not much reason to put it on Steam other than to have people pirate, always on DRM will solve nothing. Quantic Dreams also has nothing to do with Sony, they're a third party company that chooses what platforms to develop for.

Why would it be useless when Xbox does it? I'm assuming XCLOUD will feature xbox games as well, so gears players on steam can play with xbox players.

I also saw something between EPIC/SONY with the predator game as well, it just seems we're seeing more sony oriented games (even if it's not associated it was exclusive to the console) on EPIC

and we're seeing more XBOX games on Steam.  I have rarely seen any complaints about cheaters either.

Would be incredible can't see why it wouldn't happen and it actually should happen.

It's the end of the gen, if you already didn't buy an Xbox then you probably weren't going to. They tapped out Xbox One system sales, they're not looking for console system growth. xCloud is Microsofts platform, why wouldn't they feature their own games?

Google wants to grow their platform, they don't do that by giving people an option where customers can avoid it entirely. They didn't get in this space to just sell games, they're selling a service.

I think you’re missing an essential point with stadia.

Other machines need to be bought to be played hence a massive barrier.

Next year Stadia will be available to anyone without a pro subscrption, for free. And controllers from consoles and pc are compatible. Also it will be playable on computers and wider variety of smartphones.

which means no barrier since anyone with a computer or a phone will be able to buy a stadia game and play it without additional fees.

i don’t see why the upcoming google games or any stadia exclusives should be added to steam. No door needs to be open, everything will be open as soon as subscription fees aren’t required anymore.
