SONY BRAVIA XR OLED A80J

Jump to Best Response

Well then my TV just burned out the backlight LEDs 3 days after the end of the warranty and tomorrow I get a SONY BRAVIA XR OLED A80J has built-in chromecast and Google TV.

My question is, CCU, CCGTV or the TV itself?

Please I need the most exquisite performance on Stadia, I need the opinion of a Google expert.

Thanks.

Hello @Whito,

Not a official Google Stadia expert but let me try to help you.

Right now Android TV is not officially supported on a Sony Bravia TV according to THIS Stadia support page. And I switched from a CCU to a Chromecast Google TV device which feels more snappy when using the Stadia app on your TV. It is also the newer device and has more powerful hardware.

So if you want the best supported Stadia experience I would recommend using the Chromecast Google TV. But please note it could be very well work just great on your Sony Bravia TV, but it is not officially supported.

Hope this helps. :slightly_smiling_face:
