I recently bought RE Village and I was immediately let down because of the massive input lag. The game is almost un-playable the input lag is at least 1/2 a second.
This problem only occurs with RE Village. I tested my other games and none of them has any noticable input lag, not even RE 7. To me it seems like a port specific problem and its infuriating. Did anyone noticed a problem similar like this with RE Village and/or other games recently?
@ExtraRen I do notice that some games have better latency than the others. Destiny 2 actually even states on their page that input latency may becomes worse when playing with keyboard and mouse. But I tried playing Division 2 with kb/m and notice very little lag.
If you were playing with kb/m, maybe you can try switching to controller and see if it's better? I don't have the game, so can't test unfortunately. but maybe someone else that has the game will be able to chime in.
I play every game on PC through Chrome with a Stadia controller that is connected via Wi-Fi. I find Stadia the most responsive with this method. In other games i dont notice any input lag. ![]()
@ExtraRen I tried the demo and the game does have a bit of lag, but it's not as bad as other games I've tried. I do have my res capped to 720p though (bandwidth cap.. sigh). I know you said other games runs fine, but for sanity check, can you try other browsers like Edge to launch the game? Or disable extensions on your Chrome browser. Just to make sure they're not the issue.
Hi @ExtraRen
So tried the DEMO myself on a linux based laptop with software VP9.
It runs ok with VP9 and HD... but when I play with VP9 and 4k it does have the lag you are talking about.
Is it possible for your to try if the problem persist if you enforce playing in HD?
I play with 1080 on my PC and the game already has a huge amount of input lag, i didnt even considered 4k bc it will probably be unlayable.
I played the demo before and the demo still runs perfectly.
Hi @ExtraRen
Hmm sounds like it is a issue with the game itself... as the demo and other games run just fine it has something to do with the port.
I don't own the game myself to check it.
Did you try reaching out to Capcom about this issue?

Hello @ExtraRen :
I've finished 100% RE : Village in 4K (VP9) without any input lag.
I tried the game today but in 1080p and I didn't noticed any input lag too. Got 880 Mbps, RTX 2070 Super, using the Stadia app without any addon.
But : I noticed a delay when moving my character directly in game. I mean, if I strafe left/right continously, I don't get any input lag. But, for example, if I walk forward, then stop and directly press the right button, there is an input lag - well, it's not really an input lag but most likely caused by a game update, I think.
Probably, you'll need to contact directly Capcom, the game devs, if the problem I've spotted is the one you're referring to.
Sorry for the quality, but here is a record as example.
- Starting from the beginning and until 00:13 you'll see that I can strafe without any input lag.
- Starting 00:14 and despite I'm pushing my Q/D key (azerty keyboard) to make a strafe on the left/right, there is kind of an input lag.
Is it your incident ? I wonder if it's not part of the game.
