Is there any information on what sort of system specs we can expect from the Stadia release of Cyberpunk 2077? Will the graphics be equivalent to the new NVIDIA 3080 GPUs, 2080s, worse?
What graphical settings will the Stadia release use for Cyberpunk 2077 if one has a Pro subscription and a Premier setup? I decided to take a risk and pre-ordered the game on Stadia after trying out the service, but forgot to check beforehand on the relative system specs for the game on the streaming service.
Does anyone have any info on this?
For now it will be like the PS4 PRO / Xbox one X as im correct.
We certainly won't be getting ray tracing, as Vulkan only just integrated support for it. Hopefully that's something that can be upgraded / patched in someday, though. Performance wise, I'd expect 4k30, with settings roughly in line with PS4 Pro (not PS5) graphics.
It's gonna be a long while before Stadia is giving people 3080-level performance. It'll happen eventually, probably, but we're talking years, not months. You can't reliably go buy one of those off the shelf right now, and if you do find one, it's a $700 card. $10 a month isn't gonna get us that.
I dont think this an issue of procurement. Stadia isn't going to be using consumer graphics cards but rather something like a Quadro RTX 8000 at the price of $6000+. With enterprise cards like this, graphic resources can be virtualized and split to 3+ virtual machines. (based on the card having 48GB of video ram and next gen consoles having 16gb. Seeing 8 or more applications per card is more likely.)
Quick math: The average gamer plays about 1/hr a day
Assuming a perfect scenario where there's no peak hours, 24 people can use that card throughout the day
Assuming each user is a subscriber, stadia is making $240/mo/vm
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultra settings use 8GB of video ram, which allows for 6 vms per card
So roughly $1440/mo for a $6000 card, which is probably already in use if Vulkan has integrated support for ray tracing.
My guess is ray tracing for Cyberpunk in Stadia will come at the same time as their next-gen console update.
Be nice to officially hear some things...
GFN is a better option for Cyberpunk right now if Stadia is not supporting Ray Tracing.
We don't even know what FPS we are getting. The Immortals demo looks like crap, and makes me worry. I couldn't play that on Stadia...
Wouldn't expect Ray Tracing either to be honest, I'm with @Ravenlock there. If we're getting PS4 Pro-like graphics for a start, I'd be happy.
I think I want to wait on some non-demo gameplay vids for this title on stadia before I go for it.
