Refund

I am asking anyone who has not received, in process of receiving and even has received their "Stadia Refund" how long did you take you or how long have its been for you? I since purchasing Stadia has had to close and open bank accounts due to personal issues and am looking got information since doing so

Thanks for coming to our community. We're really sorry that you are having this experience with our refund process. We know that it has been a bit frustrating for some of our Stadia players. Have you received any emails from Stadia about any specific refunds that have been started? If the refund does not successfully go through, the refund will fail and you should receive an additional email asking to update your form of payment. Let us know when you get a chance where you are at in the process and we can help from there.

Hello & Good Afternoon,

I have all the transaction details pertaining everything I am being refunded for. I have not received any email about updating my refund/payment information to this day although i still have recently updated that time ago. I am able to visually show you the details.

From my personal experience it went like this:

  • Got an email stating that I will get a refund for game X, Y and Z, etc.
  • Refund went to old payment method (CC) that doesn't exist anymore, so 1.5 weeks later I received an email with a link to click to provide an alternate payment method.
  • After a few more days (3-5 in my case) some refunds arrived on the new payment method, but some are still missing.

So it all seems like there's definitely patience involved, but as long as you keep track of everything, I think it will be fine.

If you already waited 2-3 weeks and you haven't got an email with the link for an alternate payment method, then it is possible that the refund was successful in the first place, in which case it would be good if you double check with the issuer of the payment method if the funds have arrived.

This isn't the case for me. It's been over 3 weeks. The bank can see the money because this card is no longer active but can't touch it because of Google's incompetence here. My previous bank explicitly said they can't touch this money without the party involved here who authorized this. So I won't be getting a email anytime soon till Google actually fixes this but their support team refuse to understand this situation and all I'm told is to contact my bank. It's absolutely irresponsible that this company refuses to help here.
