We are in digital era, why are we buying same games again and again on different platform?
Can Stadia make a deal with all game studio/developers if users already own a game in different platform can those games ported to stadia.
follow the same protocol like moviesanywhere different movie studio allow and provide a facility to sync user library across different platform, so Stadia can have at most subscribed users to continue there subscription service and users will be happy about it too.
I like this idea but probably quite tricky for everyone to agree on the legals and financials. Seems like there is info out there for game devs wanting to add their games to Stadia though: https://stadia.dev
Since it takes time (read: money) to port a game to a new platform, and there are significant logistical problems with confirming that someone actually already owns a title on a different platform I can't see this happening.
Play the games you already have on the platform you already own them, and make informed decisions about games you purchase in the future about which platform you want to play them on. That's really the best way of going about this.
I agree it takes time/money* but it’s not impossible, Stadia should make a deal with game studio so its competitive in market and subscribers will stay and not worry about the title they already own in different platform.
yes, there are logistic problems but if we think about it how are other business models handling this? It’s already in place and it works.
What is the most difficult task on adapting a game to stadia??
