I was wondering if anyone has seen this problem before. I have set up Family Sharing and it has worked great for several months. My kids have been playing every day, no problem. I have a mixture of purchased and claimed games with a single Pro subscription.
For the last several days, both of my kids have been unable to play RDR2. They get a pop up with the following message.
"Maximum number of concurrent users has been reached by this game. Please ask your family member to stop the game and try again."
No other person is playing anything and everyone else is logged out. I have turned off sharing and turned it back on. I turned of sharing of just that game and turned it back on. It will not allow them to play that game and reports that message.
It will play for me, but seems to check the connection for a rather long time, even when any other game connects quickly and loads. I am testing this using my phone, but the same happens on my computer.
Hi @BileousHumor,
I noticed this message just once on the forums.
So that is why I refer to the Stadia Support team. ![]()
Hi @BileousHumor, please try removing your family accounts from the family group then re-adding them and report back when you find out if that accomplishes anything. Thanks!
Hello @BileousHumor,
Looks like some kind of bug. ![]()
Best thing you do is contact Stadia Support chat
Hope you are getting things resolved. ![]()
Thanks. I'll do that. I just though that someone else might have seen this, since the message is pretty strange and must come from Stadia and not the game itself.

I am having the same issue with fifa 21. However removing the family accounts and adding them back did not work
Is this what fixed it for me as I done that in-between our chat and waiting on a reply
Have they been able to play the same game at the same time previously?
You're meant to be able to play different shared games simultaneously, but if they both want to play RDR2 at the same time, you'll need shared 2 copies between the family account.
Thanks for the reply.
They are only trying to use a single license at a time. They would love for me to get another copy, but they still accede to my requirement of their sharing the one.
