Hi people,
Anyone else having problems with playing Stadia on iOS 14.4.1 using a DualShock 4 controller? It connects to my phone just fine, and I am also able to navigate around the Stadia app, but when I start a game Stadia is stuck in the loading screen forever. If I disconnect the controller, it starts normally. But when I connect the controller again when I am in game, I can't use it. Stadia says that the controller is connected and the in-game menu shows the controller buttons, so it 'sees' the controller. Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Jelmer
Hi!
Not sure if it was yourself that I spoke to on Discord, but it doesn't seem to be a known issue as far as I can see. The troubleshooting steps for iOS can be found here but it states that "Supported controllers include the DualShock 4 controller and the Xbox One controller" and there's nothing that is likely to resolve this issue.
My advice would be to report it via the feedback feature on the Stadia App and to raise it with the Stadia Support team.

Thanks ViviFFIX, I will do that. No it wasn't me on Discord.
UPDATE: I have contacted support, hopefully they'll look into it. Maybe more people who have the same problem will speak up.
There appears to be a few people on Reddit having issues, so it has definitely been raised. Seems like it's not isolated, so hopefully it'll be looked into fairly quickly.
I'll let you know here if I hear anything ![]()
I'm having the same issue with my iPad Pro, the controller works on the menu but when I load a game I get an unending load screen. I am using a PS4 Dualshock controller and SteelSeries Nimbus controller and both have this problem. Strange thing is that a couple days ago it worked fine with both controllers but now neither work. I don't have this problem on my Galaxy S21 ultra or my PC. This problem is particular to my iPad.
I can confirm the issue has been resolved. Thanks for the update!
It worked! I played Elder Scrolls Online with my iPad Pro yesterday. It's great to play ESO when I'm not on my PC.
The one thing that is bugging me is how I remap the Stadia screen capture button; it's conflicting with ESO's mount button. Every time I try to mount I get a screen grab. Is there way to remap the screen capture button to my Bluetooth keyboard? If not is there a way to take out screen capture? Is not that important to me and I rather have my mount.
The Keyboard bindings from the PC do work, so I am able to mount using the "H" Key. However, I don't know how much this helps folks without a Bluetooth keyboard or a PC version of the game.
I'm having the same issue with my dual shock ps4 remote its just not responsive when it's time to play the game. I've been playing with the same controller for the last 3 days and now it's not working.
