Hello all,
I am hoping someone official from Stadia can jump in here with an update.
Is there currently a timeline to allowing 3rd party controllers to work with Stadia on a TV? Alternatively and preferably, is there a plan or timeline for a revised official controller that addresses some of the shortcomings of the current official controller?
My issues are specifically related to comfort. I would happily buy an official controller that had asymmetrical sticks (Xbox, Nintendo, etc. style) or even symmetrical but located higher where my thumbs naturally rest (Wii U pro controller style). More choices and options are always welcome and customer friendly.
Thank you
Hi @chdir,
You can use the Stadia controller in Tandem mode. Meaning you can connect a different controller to the Stadia controller.

Thanks for the info!
That looks interesting as an experimental feature and I will for sure give it a try with the Xbox One controller I use with my PC.
I am still hoping for an official controller update for minimizing latency and for maximum compatibility, but this should work as a temporary workaround.
Thanks again
