Hi,
Temporarily (I hope) I had to change my 300Mb/s fiber-optic for average 80Mb/s cable internet with 15/20 ms ping. In theory I should still run 1080p without issues and when I'm checking connection on Stadia speedtest everything is fine but in practice that's not the case:
- resolution switches between 720p and 1080p constantly.
- freezes and jumps in frames, unplayable level for titles like Doom.
Cable connection is the problem here? Maybe I just need to setup something? Some other factor?
Idk if that's relevant but Youtube and Netlifx runs without problems.
Thanks for help!
Regards
WiFi4 is not optimal (especially when it comes to latency) but it should be more than good.
Can you try using an ethernet cable with your laptop and/or try Stadia with another device over WiFi (e.g. your smartphone)?

Okay, that's a good start.
We have now figured out that the first problem was caused by the WiFi-surrounding and the problem could be terminated thanks to ethernet.
Mouselag, or problem 2, can have different reasons but I have to say that I am no expert since I use the controller.
You can try a wired mouse if you have one at hand. It's a good starting point as the 2.4-net was the reason for problem 1 as well.
This sounds frustrating, so let's try to find out what's going on. At least we should be able to figure out if it is a Stadia, an ISP or an end user issue
Yes, in theory an 80ish connection should work.
Unfortunately, a great Stadia experience depends on more than raw speed numbers, namely a stable connection.
Therefore, could you please doublecheck your true connection speed (with a speed test, better run it twice or more often) and - even more important - if you suffer from packet loss or speed drops? You should find the numbers in your router settings, if it is a comprehensive one.
Also please check if you use devices that help you pass an ethernet signal, such as Devolo, PowerLine etc. They can cause problems as well.

I did couple tests one after another, never dropped below 40Mb/s.
How to check the other data?
Looks good so far. Only concern could be the frequent drop in bandwith which should not be there.
The easiest way to test the other points would be on a PC.
If you open your cmd (WIN + r), you can ping a site with a number of repeats.
Type in: ping -n 100 www.stadia.com
See if there are packets lost or hickups in your ping times.
Also, be sure that you forward the ports within your router. Those are 44700-44899 both TCP and UDP.
constant TTL = 117, time between 14ms - 17ms , two times 25ms.
Okay, that is perfectly fine. This should not be the main problem.
On which device do you use Stadia? And how is it connected? Wired, WiFi (2,4 or 5, maybe even 6).
If WiFi: How far are you away from your router? Walls?
Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), WPA2-Personal, band 2.4 GHz, channel 3, 150/150 (Mbps).
Laptop Windows 10
Router is 10cm from the Laptop

Thank you! Yeah ethernet cable is solution for stable resolution and smooth gameplay but we are half way through though. My experience still suffers from jumps in frames, lag? But it feels a bit different - like my mouse pointer is jumping from one place to another for a split second. Once a minute, sometimes longer. Could 2.4G wireless mouse be a problem?
