When I select 'up to 780p' or '1080p' in performance, the web and app version relaunch with 'up to 4k'.
My internet cannot handle such a setting so I get really consistent stuttering as the data spikes up (trying to scale the resolution).
I have allowed all cookies for the site, and still it does not remember. Result - noticing stuttering in game, quitting, changing setting, relaunching game.
Shouldn't this preference be stored in your Stadia Profile? Or does this cause people switching devices to have to manually adjust it constantly?
Hey @Bubbles,
according to the Stadia helpcenter (see here), the "performance settings you select will only take effect on the device you set them on." and "Performance settings will take effect on your device the next time you open a game.".
Usually the settings should stay though, but I am using 4K, so I don't know if it works accordingly with lower resolution.
So in this case it might be an idea to contact the Stadia team to figure out if it's actually an issue that you have and how to fix this.
Thanks for the reply.
Re: performance settings on a device, this seems to be where the App version is not working.
As per your suggestion, I have been working with the support team to figure out why so hopefully it contributes to a solution. It could be something with the inability to load preferences on said device after signing in.
@Bubbles use the extension stadia + this will solve your problem.
Hi Orwell,
by extension, do you mean the Windows app that runs on its own tab and shortcut? (I have that with no difference)
