I received an e mail a couple of weeks ago asking me to change bank details, because the previous payment method was no longer valid. This was promptly actioned and I was refunded a few days later (£350).
The issue I have, is that when I read Google's FAQ they say they are refunded ALL purchases on google play.
What I have received barely touches the surface of how much I've spent on google play.
I've received no e-mails, or notifications since then regarding other refunds and now I am concerned.
I've had no notification from my bank that there is an issue.
What should I do?
Hey @hardygra,
Yes, Google is refunding the following purchases on Stadia: "We will be offering refunds for all Stadia hardware purchases (Stadia Controller, Founder's Edition, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages) made through the Google Store and software transactions (games and add-on purchases) through the Stadia store. Stadia Pro subscriptions are not eligible for refund, however you will be able to continue playing your games in Pro without further charges until the final wind down date." If you still think that some refunds have not yet been processed, you can double check all transactions on pay.google.com. If needed, it maybe helps if you (for yourself) track all purchases in a sheet or Excel to see which ones have been refunded and which ones not.
Google is still processing refunds until Jan 18, 2023, so if you haven't received your refunds by then, you can also get in touch with Stadia support. Just be aware they are super busy right now.
I have created a spreadsheet and copied transactions from 2018/19. Trust me, this took a while. Only a few say refunded, like 1% of them.
Are you aware what date we can claim refunds from? 2018?
