Hello everyone!
I've been playing Stadia for quite some time now, and recently got curious over the whole pairing process with various other controllers like DualShock 4 and Xbox One Controller.
Though I understand you need the actual physical controller in order to pair it to stadia, I was wondering if you need the actual system like a PS4 or a Xbox one.
If I were to buy a DualShock 4 controller separately without the actual PS4 system, would I still be able to connect the controller? Same applies to the new PS5 controller, even though it's not compatible yet.
Thanks.
Just noticed the post I was reading about PS5 controllers not being compatible yet with Stadia was around a few months ago. Anyone know if they are actually compatible yet?
Hi @HyperShark
Right now the PS4 is supported and the PS5 controller isn't.
Please check this website to validate the supported devices: https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/9578631
You can use these devices but this depends on how do you play Stadia?
If you are using a PC or Mac you can use it the way you are used too on these systems.
With the Chromecast Ultra your mobile will function as a bridge device: https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/10870063
On Android/Google TV it is possible to connect the device by using bluetooth.
On a supported LG TV it is possible to connect the device by using bluetooth. https://support.google.com/stadia/answer/11387260 \
Hope this helps! ![]()
