Paid for PRO, only get HD on PC

Why can't you stream in 4k even if you have a weird PC screen resolution?

I paid for 4k, my monitor is 2560x1440.  How do I get better then HD?

Why doesn't Stadia support your resolution vs TWO fixed Sizes?

Hey @QuantumBeckett,

sorry to hear you have issues playing in 4K on your PC, even though you purchased Stadia Pro. Would you mind checking the following here:

  • Does your monitor actually support 4K? Not every monitor does, resolution doesn't matter.
  • Do you definitely have an active Stadia Pro subscription? You can check this on pay.google.com in the tab "subscriptions and services" just make sure you're logged in with the correct account.
  • In the Performance settings of the device you're using, set your resolution to Up to 4K. Also check your connection status to verify you're playing in 4K.
    • Note: Not all games support 4K resolution.
  • Check that your monitor is connected to your device with an HDMI 2.0 (or greater) cable.
  • If you made any changes, exit the game, then launch it again and see if it works now.

Here are some more TS steps that helps in general with graphic problems, maybe one of those can fix your issue too:

  1. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in Google Chrome for stadia.com.
  2. Sign into Stadia in an Incognito window if you experience issues with game response or visuals, or if a keyboard command doesn't work properly. If this resolves your issue, one of your browser extensions might be incompatible with Stadia. Disable some of your browser extensions, then try again.
  3. Set your Google Chrome zoom settings to 100%.
  4. Make sure the HDMI cable you use to connect your computer to your display supports HDMI 2.0 or greater, and is plugged into an HDMI 2.0 or greater port on both ends.
  5. If you're using Windows 10, go to your display settings. Next, select Advanced scaling settings > turn off the feature that lets Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry.
  6. Connect your computer to a single display. If your computer is connected to multiple displays in extended mode, performance may be degraded.
  7. Enable or disable hardware acceleration in Google Chrome.
  8. If you're still experiencing issues, lower your Performance settings.

Let us know if this still didn't fix your issue, you can also check in with the Stadia support here if you prefer.

The problem is stadia only supports two fixed resolutions.

Normally games support every resolution. This is how games have always worked on the PC.

Stop trying to blame the customer.

This is critical flaw in Stadia.

Hello @QuantumBeckett,

You can always try a unofficial plugin like Stadia Enhanced.

Be sure to leave your feedback about the resolutions in the Stadia App or stadia.com.

Stadia Enhanced will not allow me to play CyberPunk at 2560 x 1440.

Stadia only allows for 1920x1080 or Stadia Pro 3640 x 2160

A normal game purchases allows for ANY resolution on a PC.

Don't get Stadia pro if you have a ODD size monitor, it will look very bad in HD.
