PUBG on Stadia

Jump to Best Response

Good Evening!

Is Stadia / PUBG going to change the use of controller versus mouse and keyboard? It's simply not rational to not allow a game like PUBG to not be played with a keyboard & mouse.

Thank you!

PUBG has crossplay with Xbox and PS players. They used to have KB/M support, but they were playing by themselves, as on PC there's a lot of cheaters, and against consoles it'd be unfair.
Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of people playing on KB/M, so it wasn't worth keeping the servers open. So they disabled KB/M support, allowing other gamemodes to be played by more people at once.

Decision was made by PUBG, not Google.

Hi, I do understand what you are saying @T3T. unfortunately PUBG decided to pull keyboard and mouse support from stadia after a while due to not alot of players using keyboard and mouse to play.

My guess for the reason behind the lack of keyboard and mouse players is that controller is cross play with consoles while keyboard and mouse was by itself

Hey @ShadowKnight !

Thanks for your answer!

From my point of view, I believe PUBG wants to bring some kind of balance on the gameplay, so that controller users don't get too banged up.

PUBG has an awful history of cheaters / hackers, that constantly destroy the game in multiple ways. It even came to a point where a guy surrendered himself to the job of distributing a false aimbot that ultimately would force the cheater to commit suicide without knowing how or why ( this was beyond delicious and hilarious :D, check it, its on youtube ).

I am really hoping that STADIA changes this common abnormality that online gaming is living right now, called cheating.

What do You think?

Hey @DaBaldEagul ,

In other words, a shame!

PUBG should be lot of fun, specially on stadia on no aimbots / hackers can conduct their exploits.

Definitely a shame! But yeah if you're only playing with 5 actual humans the fun dies quickly... The small amount of time I played def was fun tho
