The closing of SG&E is alarming but it is understandable as the project is a massive undertaking. Is there any chance that the games SG&E were working on could be completed by another developer? I think I speak for many Stadia users when I say that the anticipation for a game that is built exclusively for Stadia is so much greater that adding games like Warzone, etc. A game that truly showcases the power of cloud gaming is so exciting. Outcasters isn't really that game but SG&E made an absolute blast of a game in Outcasters and has me feeling a bit empty that there won't be anything else coming from SG&E
SG&E didn't actually make Outcasters. That game was made by Splash Damage, who are the makers of a load of others games like Gear 5 for example.
The only game so far from SG&E is Journey to the Savage Planet. There's a possibility we might see some of the games they were working on, but in all honesty, we haven't really seen anything from them nor know any of the games they were working on.
Thanks for the clarification!
Hey @OleGunner,
Outcasters is indeed made by Splash Damage as @ViviFFIX posted.
SG&E never created a full game from scratch. Yes they helped 505 Games with Journey to the Savage Planet.
So for Outcasters all things should be fine! ![]()
Good to know! Thanks
