Ordered 6th of june, yet to recieve a code.

Hello. I ordered 6th of june and i've yet to get a code to play nor has the product been shipped. According to this comment https://www.reddit.com/r/Stadia/comments/dvv3tv/hi_reddit_andrey_from_the_stadia_team_here_and_im/f7... You said that they get shipped in the order that they were purchased. Yet we've seen multiple post from discord and reddit that people who have bought in september have already received their items. Why ?

Hi Founders,

I can confirm that if you pre-ordered the Stadia Founder’s Edition, and your form of payment has been charged, your access code has been sent to you via email. Pre-orders for Premiere Edition will start shipping on Monday.

If you're a Founder, have received your shipment, but have not received your code, please reach out to the Stadia support team , and they'll be more than happy to work with you on your code delivery. Thanks!

I received my stadia package this morning 11/20 hooked everything up and can’t do anything with it. Still haven’t received my invite code to play. Kinda ridiculous because the whole point of this thing is that I don’t need to wait for hardware. But now I have my hardware but can’t play because of software. You say you fixed the issue but I still don’t have my code despite having everything else. I don’t think anything has been fixed my friends.

I pre-ordered 2 Founder's Edition packages plus an extra controller on June 7th (one for me and one for my bro). I have yet to receive my codes plus my delivery date currently says Dec 7th. Someone, please tell me why?!?!?!

I have seen other people with theirs that ordered in Sept 2019. This is unacceptable!!! But I bet there won't be a delay in taking my $353.98! :disappointed_face:

My order was placed on June 7th. Hardware arrived yesterday before 10am eastern. It's now after 10am eastern and I *STILL* haven't received a code despite others receiving codes even though they placed orders *AFTER* me. Can we just get the truth - the Stadia code emails are *NOT* going out in the order that the original orders were placed. Admit it, apologize, come up with a reasonable compensation for people that are impacted. Stop putting out the *BS* that everything is working now and emails are going out in the order that the the original orders were placed!

the entire discussion on who should get the code first is irrelevant as it was clearly promised that all founders are entitled to play on launch day.

The whole reason I ordered the first day was precisely to get an early crack at a name I wanted.  Hardly irrelevant.  Having the code would have allowed me to play even without the controller.

I get your point, and you are right. They should have decoupled the name registrations from the actual gaming experience. The irrelevant was related to the fact that almost nobody was able to play at launch day, and that is what i wanted.

False and deceptive advertising. Lawyer should sue. This should be a slam dunk.

 

I might return to sender my package. It's useless without a code.

@GraceFromGoogle @ChrisFromGoogle  any update on when the codes will be emailed out. Received my founders controller today, but still not seen any email come through. So of course im locked out of finally playing on stadia (having order on the 7th June)

ANY UPDATE WOULD BE NICE......

I can't believe that after I have pushed against all the bad press over the last 4 weeks, AND I have then watched every critic on this earth give stadia **bleep**... I received my FOUNDERS EDITION just now, and have absolutely NO sign of an invite code! What the hell was I thinking?! I think there was a small glimmer of hope that it was going to be satisfactory to be pissed on by a tech giant. No compensation, I'm sure. No reply, I'm CERTAIN! But still, in light of this complete disaster of a release - it's good to know I'm not the only one. Please send me my invite code! Let me find out for myself if this is as bad as the critics have portrayed it! It certainly is so far.

I have Stadia controller here and a Chromecast Ultra, no code to be able to use it as of yet, support are unable to help. :disappointed_face:

Just another update. Received kit three hours ago. Still no code. Purchased June 11th, shipped November 18th, arrived November 20th 13:30 GMT. No code as of 16:50 GMT

Ordered June 7th, shipped November 19th, arrived November 20th ~10am GMT.  No code as of 17:00 GMT.  Contacted support, advised that they will try to get the code to me asap, but cannot say how long it will take.

Hi @GraceFromGoogle, any updates to share with your valued customers? 24h after launch and still no code, shipping notification arrived before launch yesterday, ordered the founders edition less than 24h after it became available for pre-order. BR 3rdClassFounder

@NRE I've been reliably informed that all codes will be sent out within 3-5 years of the Stadia service being shut down.

What is the update here? Still nothing in my email about the code or even the delivery. I have heard from a couple friends who ordered months after me that they have received both. Getting pissed! You have had so much time to get this correct and you have f*cked it up!

Hopefully, I get the code in 5-10 minutes after this post right? Seems to be the case with some here?

I work in software support and this is really not the way to handle a situation like this one unless you are lying and want to hide information from the users. No incident management, no urgency, no "all hands on decks" process for resolution. If that was the case the emails would've been sent out or at least concrete communication on a real timeline. No integrity or accountability from a company as big and successful as Google is just pathetic. 

Please send me the code I paid and was charged for 2 days before launch, 1 day before you shipped.

@Maaserualot of us still havent received our codes yet, hopefully they sort something out soon or at least give an update to everyone on here waiting.

 

I have had my stadia since this morning and still not been able to use it lol, i can only hope they sort it out soon, as i really would like to be able to try it.

@Maaseru that's exactly what I can't work out - this is precisely how not to handle an IT incident. Every incident management 101 course could use this as a case study and ask the class to point out where the company went wrong. It's such basic stuff. That's what makes it all the more infuriating, for me. They are clearly hiding a major mistake. Lying about it to fill dead air is the very worst thing they could have done.

@steveb Usually IT incidents like this that get solved quickly happen for organizations that have bigger or more private customers. Since Google knows we are consumers they don't care and have no integrity about the process. They won't be liable, they won't lose a customer since we already paid, they just think we are a stupid consumer and they can easily lie to.
