Ordered 6th of june, yet to recieve a code.

Hello. I ordered 6th of june and i've yet to get a code to play nor has the product been shipped. According to this comment https://www.reddit.com/r/Stadia/comments/dvv3tv/hi_reddit_andrey_from_the_stadia_team_here_and_im/f7... You said that they get shipped in the order that they were purchased. Yet we've seen multiple post from discord and reddit that people who have bought in september have already received their items. Why ?

Hi Founders,

I can confirm that if you pre-ordered the Stadia Founder’s Edition, and your form of payment has been charged, your access code has been sent to you via email. Pre-orders for Premiere Edition will start shipping on Monday.

If you're a Founder, have received your shipment, but have not received your code, please reach out to the Stadia support team , and they'll be more than happy to work with you on your code delivery. Thanks!

I ordered also the Founders Edition the 6th of June, first day.

It's now 7 hours from launch time, I haven't received yet a code to make my name reservation or play.

I'ts now 1:08am and I have to go to sleep, guess no name reservation for me, what a disastrous start.

I have my Package has been delivered but still no code to play was told would not get code till tomorrow because they really didn't have a definitive answer to give out..

I almost makes me feel like their automated system failed and they have actual people going through orders one-by-one sending emails manually. That would suck. LOL

LMAO I'm literally laughing at myself right now. After I made some posts on here I got an email from Google. I got excited only to realize it was an automated email letting me know I got my Stadia delivered, which was delivered like 10 hours ago. LMAO

 

Still no invite code. Honestly. if they can't even get invite codes to people correctly. I don't have much faith in a low latency game streaming service.

You can't possible expect us to believe that it takes hours to send out these emails, do you?

It would look a lot better to your customers if the messaging was just transparent. It's not a "small fraction" and you haven't resolved the issue. If it was resolved you wouldn't still have people posting about this here and elsewhere, as they would have already recieved their codes to go with the hardware that's already sitting in their hands.

Much like everyone here, I ordered on June 6th.  My unit has been shipped and will be delivered tomorrow (November 20) but I still haven't received the code I need.  Do you need an order number or anything?  When exactly will codes be going out for those who ordered on June 6th?  Thanks!

A rep on the phone told me personally that my code would be sent within 24 hours. Which is not what Google said originally when they said Stadia was releasing on November 19th. I ordered on June 6th and already have the hardware hooked up and ready to go, but I can't do anything with it with no code.

I can already almost tell the laptop mouse+keyboard is unplayable. There's huge latency issues with that. If the Chromecast Ultra is anything like the laptop experience people are posting about, that's going to be a deal breaker for me.

I'm wrong or the founder's package included being able to play, using Stadia the same day of the launch. Maybe I was wrong and the Stadia page was also wrong to put that guaranteed being able to use Stadia on launch day. It was very much my ignorance that I bought the founder Edition for that reason, good to be able to play mortal combat, of course I made a mistake, I did not buy on day 6but I did it on June 8, but as much as I think and I can't find something that says that only those who bought on day 6 were going to have the advantage of playing on launch day, heck I was left out for two days. But heck I paid the 140 and for the launch and I could have waited a couple more months to get it for free. WHERE IS MY CODE?

you were correct. the stadia support page for the founders edition said this.

Everyone has been ranting about that on Reddit.  I was wondering if we all imagined it.  Thanks for finding that page.  It flat out says founders will have access at launch.

My guess is Google is having some serious troubles right now and trickling the codes out.

It specifically said "The Founders Edition guarantees you access to Stadia on launch day" on the pre-order screen.

They have 2 hours to make good on that claim. If they don't deliver, I expect a full refund. This has been maddening and disappointing all at the same time. I ordered within 24 hours of the Founder's Edition going up for pre-order and they already missed the deadline of getting my controller here for launch.

And support was useless when I called. Put me on hold twice to regurgitate the robo-Tweet responses being sent to those reporting via Twitter. Google is a tech company that OWNS AN EMAIL DOMAIN. Not being able to get emails right is not only pathetic, it's making me question everything about this service from a technical standpoint. If they can't do what they are well-known for, what makes me think they can take on Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft in gaming?

It's obvious that I'm frustrated, but I'm even more disappointed. Glad I didn't take off work for this joke of a launch. I considered it.

I'm pretty bummed about this and would hope for at least a little more communication about why these codes aren't going out to those who ordered the Founders Edition.  As it stated on the pre-order page, I had hoped we would actually get to play on launch day.  I can only hope this is a minor technical issue that they are too embarrassed about to expand on and not a betrayal of the underlying promise of the platform. :confused_face:

The irony that an email provider, the worlds LARGEST email provider, can't facilitate the process of... you know... emailing... gave me diabetes.  That's how f*cking hilarious this situation is.

Does google plan on reconciling with its founders members and giving back to the community for its clear lack of preparedness? This is essentially an interview and if I were to walk into your offices for a job right now you wouldn’t hire me if I was as unprepared as you guys have been with this roll out. All of us have spent money to nesting in your idea. And I’m honestly disappointed and don’t think I can trust a system that a company of your stature can’t smoothly roll out. I sit here with my order shipped and expected delivery is the 21st yet I don’t have an access code at all. When I called I mentioned that I have family members who received their orders already and was called a liar and to show proof. My response “look on Twitter”. I hope the platform stands up on its own as you all at google are not living up to your mission of “do no evil”. Clocks ticking. Will this be a good 3 months and I’ll keep my membership or will I be just as let down with the platform as I have been with this roll out.

Between this fiasco and the huge headache I had with Google Fi, I am left with a very sour taste for all things Google.
