Hey @Shpanks1, have you checked that you have all requirements for playing on your PC, which are:

In which way does stadia not work for you? When I play it at home, I just open the Chrome-Browser, go to stadia.google.com and then I am able to play.
@Chufu
"In which way does stadia not work for you?" I don't know how more plainly he could say his problem is that Stadia via Chrome won't acknowledge his controllers.
You usually do great posts but you kind of stumbled here. (Are you a new member of the Stadia team? /s)
I have no solutions for this issue. I just booted up a laptop that I haven't touched since the start of the year, plugged in a PS4 controller, let it install and Stadia recognized it immediately.
@mcnichoj there is no reason to be offended in any way by my question.
As issues can have several reasons, it would be great to just know exactly what the problem with the controller is, because from the requirements he should be able to use a Stadia controller. But who knows if there is an error message or whatever. As I mentioned above, for me the Stadia controller works fine in Chrome, so it would be nice to just get some more information about the problem. Might also be that the controller is defective, but just from the line "the controller doesn't work in chrome on PC" there is not much we could help with anyway.
P.S: If I would be a member of the Stadia team, I would definetely not post in the community forum in my free time hahaha.
@Chufu
I wasn't offended, my apologies if I made it seem that way.
@Shpanks1 , could you provide some information about your PC and OS?
I understand how frustrating it is, but unless the purpose of your thread is to simply vent, people trying to help you can only generalize if you don't give them a whole lot to work with.
I had problems with the USB ports, try all the ports you have available. Usb 2 and 3
I will provide some basic info now my PC is a Dell XPS 15 i7, has the most recent update to Win10 as well. Chrome browser is updated to 78. All my USB ports work, because the PC registers the controllers as inputs when wired and my Xbox controllers as wired and wireless. When i launch Stadia no controllers work. I am using 2 different bt enabled Xbox one controllers and one white Stadia controller. All controllers function perfectly on my Xbox One X, on my PC with Steam and Xbox Gamepass, and the Stadia controller works fine with Chromecast Ultimate on the TV. I am not posting to this site just to "vent", I am truly looking for a solution for me to play on my PC, via stadia.google.com. i im more than happy to provide more info about my PC if needed, but it meets all Google's requirements to run Stadia efficiently.
Does the light come on the controller while plugged into your pc? Is it showing up as an unknown device?
Have you launched games with mouse and keyboard and then tried playing with the controller? Perhaps if you are able you can test if its working in non stadia games.
I've thought up a couple things you can try.
Uninstall then reinstall Chrome and/or try playing with the controllers on a different computer.
Glad you got it working and good to know information on incompatibility for specific USB adapters.
It worked for me. What you have to do is launch any desktop game with the support for external controllers (I launched Asphalt 9:Legends on PC) and then you wait for a prompt to say your controller is recognized by the game(maybe toggle off/on your controller), and then jump back into stadia and it should work!
