My humble suggestion to Google

Hi, I don't know if Google staff actually reads here, but I hope so. A very short background, so my suggestion is clearer. I've always been a PC gamer, spending usually 1k to 1.5k euros every 4 years for an up-to-date rig. Now I'm 25 and I don't have that much time to play anymore, so I stopped buying new PCs and therefore gradually stopped playing games altogether. I always loved PCs because I could play all the console games with my Xbox controller at full resolution, plus all the amazing PC-only strategy and simulation games (I spent countless hours on AoE with my dad, Cities in Motion, Cities Skyline, Simcity and so on). Therefore, when Stadia was announced I was pumped. I ordered it in July, never doubted a second, and now I'm finding it working very well (lucky me, my internet connection is solid and stable). However, I find very disappointing the company focusing almost solely on console games. I could by a PS4 for 200 euros, or even less, and get basically the same experience. Stadia is amazing because it could allow me to play Assassin's Creed on my TV and the latest Total War game on my macbook with mouse and keyboard. Hence my 5 cents: Google, you HAVE TO add PC-only games. Transport Fever 2, the Total War series, the new "The Settlers" game coming out in 2020 (since you are working with Ubisoft on lots of other titles), DOTA 2. You could even push for the renaissance of new titles which are being slowly forgotten, like Starcraft, The Guild and so on. PLEASE, don't limit yourself to this fight with Xbox and Play Station, bring them on a field where they could never really fight. Yours sincerely, an enthusiastic Stadia Founder

@Trantor There are some Google staffers lurking about, but with the volume of posts here the best way to make sure your comments get seen by the right people is to use the Send feedback option in the Stadia app. Use that to let them know what games (or types of games) you'd love to see added to the platform. You won't typically get a reply to feedback but your comments will be reviewed by the development team.

And how should we able to play a PC-only game on a smartphone when we only have the Stadia controller as an inut device? I also would like to play games like Cities Skylines or AoE (Definitive Edition or 4) on Stadia. But I think Google looks out for titles which works with their controller.

Second that! I’m 32 now and haven’t been gaming in about 2 years (occasional Starcraft exempted). Been thinking on whether to buy a new gaming pc but couldn’t get around to it. When I bought my previous (almost 7 years ago) I paid 3000$. But now when you have so little time it’s hard to argue for a new one. Anyway would love to see the total war titles on Stadia, including Rome 2. The guys from Sega newer did a good job in optimising the games so probably would work better on stadia servers compared to a few years old average joe gaming rig, that’s purely speculation from my part though.

I also want to see them hit the PC market harder do games like Dwarf Fortress, Rimworld, Kenshi just go outside the box you don't have to follow the mold of the other consoles, obviously you'll need your big third party games but that is how XBOX OG made its bang it was a console that brought you all the games  you couldn't normally get unless you had a PC onto your console

I want to see this happen again

Guys it was somewhat confirmed in an interview with John Justice some games may choose to only support certain peripherals. To start though Google wanted to get as many games to work across screens as they can, because it's a compelling feature to be able to swap screens at the ready. And regarding pc games red dead and destiny are PC games as well. Orcs Must Die, as far as i remember is only PC. You also have to realize the peripherals you use are not indicative of the platform with Stadia. Stadia is more comparable to a PC than a console. The characterization of if something is PC is completely irrelevant anyways with Stadia. If you want to play with a keyboard and mouse you can. The only negative right now for PC is that for some odd reason its locked to 1080p If you want proof on the peripherals thing. Here's a couple hints open a game in the stadia store it lists supported peripherals. If all games would support all. Then itd make no sense to include.

When I talk about "PC only games" I don't mean the platform itself, I mean the game genre. Strategy games are pc only, you couldn't play Age of Empires or Rome Total war with a controller.. I know I can play destiny with a mouse and keyboard, I could also play destiny with a discounted Xbox one for less than 200 euros.. I cant, at the moment, play a recent Total War game without an expensive rig, and that's where stadia would simply crush the other platforms.

Wish they bridge the gap between consoles and PC like if they have console games and also world of Warcraft Lord of the rings online and other PC games
