Well I mean it was a system-email that you got, so for the system it works like this:
At least this is the way how it was planned to be I believe. We all now, that something went terrible wrong there with the codes or even the shipping, so....the system was not trying to rub salt in your wounds, but of course it feels disappointing from your site of view, can totally understand that. The system though didn't know that you haven't received your code by now. ![]()
Hope for you that your code arrives soon then. If not, reach out Stadia support, they should be able to send you one.
I am well aware of how the system works. My comments were meant to be sarcastic/mocking of Google's ability to process orders, ship a box, charge customers' accounts, and deliver email updates on the order; but apparently couldn't deliver the one critical piece of the product, the access codes, that make the product of any value or benefit. Just thought it was quite funny they could encourage me to enjoy Stadia. I have not enjoyed Stadia. It's not possible without the access code. Google has had since June, when they started taking orders for the founders' edition, to make 100% sure their delivery system was in order. FUBAR. They totally screwed this up. For a company the size of Google, a that is totally engaged in digital/electronic technologies, claims to be a world leader, to have screwed up this launch is simply inexcusable. What did they do? Outsource this project to some third world IT interns? Reach out to Stadia Support? Seriously? I have far better things to do than sit around waiting for who knows how long on chat connection or waiting for a call back to address this access code issue. The wait queue for support reported yesterday number in the hundreds. What a fiasco.
