Monitor your Chrome Stream & Beyond

Have yet to try it myself, but plan to! I mainly use CCU to play, 2nd by mobile. My Chromebook reminds me too much of things I'm slacking on. :grinning_face_with_sweat: https://piunikaweb.com/2020/01/03/monitor-google-stadia-stream-chrome/

@Stoked4Good : I added these scripts to Tampermonkey a couple of days ago when a link to reddit was posted up here.  Works just fine, no need to monitor it all the time obviously, but useful to see some data I guess if you want to see how much traffic is getting consumed etc.

Kudos appreciated if deserved.

What trips me out more is that if forcing VP9 codec greatly improves quality of the stream, then why is it not happening automatically now? Why has Google not addressed this? Or am I missing the potential downside of this forced approach?

Also, tried searching for an existing thread, prior to posting, but came up empty. If you could, please link me to the original thread here. Thank you.

Some old machines might not have proper hardware to do the decoding from VP9. A byproduct of using VP9 is that you'll need less than 10 mbit/s. I'm at a hospital with my newborn girl. We're each given 10mbit/s, which amounts to about 9,5 per device. Enabling VP9 made it so that I can play Destiny now that the rest of the family is sleeping.
