Metro Exodus on Stadia colours washed out bug!

Anyone else have this?

The game looked fine, until I saw it was also on Xbox game pass so booted it up on my Xbox just as a comparison.

That's when I noticed the vast differences in colour between the Xbox and Stadia version!

On Xbox, the game looks amazing and the colours "pop", on Stadia the whole game looks washed out by comparison. And this has nothing to do with compression.

I had a try fiddling with the Gamma setting, but even at its lowest setting, you cant get the logo to be barely visible.

So looking online, it seems this is a known bug in the PC version! And the colours will briefly be corrected during certain lighting effects , or during the putting on or removing of the gas mask animation. On PC people have overcome this by fiddling around in the Nvidia control panel etc.

But on Stadia, we obviously don't have any way of fiddling around with the settings like that

So, anyone else have this?

I uploaded a video to YouTube showing the problem. The washed out effect is exaggerated by my phones camera, but shows the issue very well, and how it fixes briefly during lightning flashes and also removing the game mask.

I also tweeted 4AGames and Stadia, but no response so far.

Did you try disabling HDR in the app, just for curiousity? See what this is doing doing?

I had the same problem with my TV  and the CCU. It has driven me nuts for quiet a time. (no problems at my pc though with "LG" monitor, so this bug or whatever seems to not appear for everyone)

I had to readjust my complete TV for stadia, which i didn't had to do when playing other darker games on my xbox s or my old ps3. Looks fine now though especially readjusting the brightness and contrast settings, did the job and i can see the logos now in metro and in RDR2. Also the sharpness setting can play a big role here. Maybe you can try to adjust some settings at your monitor/TV? But for known bugs, its the best to write those things directly to @ChrisFromGoogle  or @GraceFromGoogle  . Good luck.
