Mafia III. Can't load the game.

. After a lot of hours of game, I came to Marcano's sister at the Social Club.

The game has crashed,  and I cannot reload the game.

It loops with the images before loading the game.

Hey @Sekunde,

not sure on which device you're playing currently, but let's say you play on PC, can you try another device for example a mobile phone via Stadia app and see if the issue persists there as well?

If so, it's most likely a game-issue, which means it's best to get in touch with the developers as they would need to solve the bug.

If not, it could be a device problem, so in that case you could do some TS steps depending on the device you have. If you tell which one, I could provide you some as well (usually best ones to start with are restart, checking for device update, checking for update of Stadia app, etc.). But happy to help you out then if this is the case.

I play on TV with Chromecast Ultra, but I have the same problem on PC and on phone.

This morning I have asked simultaneously to Stadia and 2K games.

No solution. Each one soy that is a problem of the other...and the game doesn't work.

I have asked for a saved game to restart...but they (Stadia and 2K) say not have control of it. 

My solution: restart completely the game...but it has been a lot of hours gaming...I don't want to replay everything.

Hey! about 2 weeks ago I played Mafia 3 and got stuck with a loop. I played at the beginning again and the result is the same bug. I reported and filmed a video to the developer of 2K and told me that "we will fix the bug but we don't have time to fix it, if if there will be a lot of players notice then we will fix it immediately" :face_with_rolling_eyes: so what !?

I have the same issue.

So there is no option to continue the story. This is so sad because its like being unable to finish reading the book. The device you play on has totally no matter. The game loads in the exact moment that Lincoln is being shot. It's lethal shot.

I found on Steam forums that this bug exists since 2016!

Could you please do anything so the bug can be fixed before our subscriptions expire? :disappointed_face:

I have the same probleme, it also started when I was half way the Marcano's sister mission. 

Has anyone been able to fix this issue?

No, As far I know it's not possible we can fix it on our own, as we have only one gamesave available.

I like to complete my games one by one, so I don't want to buy a stage subscription until this is fixed. 

@Chufu is it possible to escalate it to authors somehow?

Hey @Oryks,

no we can't escalate this to the authors. Best you can do if you have that problem with the crash of the gamesave to get in touch with the developers, as it sounds for me like they would need to fix this bug on Stadia. Personally I don't think it's a Stadia issue itself, but if in doubt, you can also get in touch with the Stadia support to check this out.

This is ridiculous. it was the only interesting game for me on the platform and cant do anything but to restart and even that, it fails. come on stadia!

Is this issue finally fixed or it is still not worth buying subscription for this game if i had stucked there?

The issue has not been fixed and they will never fix it because they don't care enough to look at their own system. All they will do is blame your internet service or your Hardware or tell you that you need to contact the publisher. However I have contacted the publisher and they keep telling me that it's a stadia problem yet stadia says its publisher problem so this will never get fixed because even though stadia is the one we pay they don't care enough to fix it. That is why I suggest leaving stadia in using another streaming service like Amazon's. At least if you have a problem there is somebody who will listen there
