Dear Google,
I just unsubscribed temporarily from Stadia Pro shortly before the winding down announcement. I planned to continue Stadia Pro again in October.
Now the sudden announcement is bad enough, what I don't understand though is not allowing existing members to resubscribe to Pro. I planned to finish some games until January, but not able to play these in 4K resolution (or the better streaming bitrate) is really a bummer.
I'm not saying to give away Pro to all existing members (well, I wouldn't say no to this ;-)), I would still pay for Pro.
@Kanban I definitely sympathize with you. After the announcement we tried having a gaming session and was disappointed to find out that some folks were left out because they had their Pro subscription lapse.
This is by no means a substitution, but if you have a friend that still have Pro subscription, you can have them start the game that has free trial and invite you to the session. Apparently it will trigger the trial. No benefit for single player games obviously, and definitely won't be enough to finish games. But at least it's something?
@Ivanthanks for trying to be positive, however as you yourself mentioned, this is no real solution, even if I had friends who have Stadia Pro.
It's still 3 months until the shutdown, and as generous the refund policy of Google is, I don't quite understand the reasoning for cutting off the resubcribe option for existing members.
I mean, in the 3 years of Stadia existing, I was like 2 years and 9 months a Pro member.
I have the same problem, a week before the anouncement, I decided to lapse my subscription and purchase one of the Metro games.
And now I´m unable to get back to pro and finnish the games I was playing.
I´d love to join the comunity on the last games in our beloved Stadia.
If you get a solution, please let me know.
Same here, please let us resubscribe until the actual end.
