It's fine tbh, they're probably doing tons of work behind the scenes and most of it isn't probably directly exciting.

@mcnichoj I have to disagree I am positive toward Stadia but if there one thing they should not take lightly again it's communications.

@Northlight :

I don’t think you’ll be waiting for much longer before there are some updates and news to share. Less than 3 weeks to the end of year and 3 games still to be published on Stadia, you just know that they aren’t all going to be released on the same day.

Hopefully there will be some announcements to be made soon.

Also, in fairness to most folks, this time of year is just manic busy with deadlines looming and stress and office parties and hangovers and late nights... hiccup!

Kudos appreciated if deserved.

@Mad_Dog_Bravo Your reply are awlays sensible and considerate and on most stadia related subject I would agree with you lad. When it come to price, performance, bugs or games availability I am or remain happy, enthousiast, patient  or aceptative however from day one communication was always either absent or lacking.

In gaming a community vibe is important some company build a lot of their success around this. Valve with Dota, Blizzard with the battlement platform and Blizzcon, 2k with nba2k and the way they provide update and community informations inside the game.

I appreciate Reddit/Stadia and some users here like you and @Chufu and @mcnichoj. I do appreciate the few updates we get from @GraceFromGoogle but for this community to thrive it's my belief we gonna need a little more fireworks.

It's still very early I know but I think it's important.

Basicly i think they are working on bluetooth on non google phones on  app ( But code is code and they hit a snag)

Marketing wise google stadia would never let a holiday  as as christmas go to waste ( most people travel and play on different internet and on different rigs at families houses)

But  it is sucide on releasing something that do not work

You are a gaming platform now, Google.

Don't forget them gamers are a very impatient bunch and they want their communication on time and on point!

I love stadia but Google has been doing so bad in the last months, it's incredible for such a company. I mean a soft launch in gaming industry is already suicidal in the first place; but they also provided no Stadia Connect for launch, they remain silent on bad reviews, they make no announcements. Then they started to show they're closer to customers than we thought with these weekly updates only to give up on it a week later. They're running it like the Google store, or exactly like Apple runs the App store where things are getting released when devs are submitting and they let it live. Just look at the app store on mac, it's lacking tons of games because there are no incitation or partnership, Apple just let it be and they never feel like they should announce any game through a conference or whatever. The app store on mac is even worse every years, there's 5 years old games in the front page. Google needs to be there tonight at game awards and every upcoming major conference, or at least provide regular Stadia Connects. I can't even believe there isn't a gamer in their managers who can explain these basics to the smart heads.

Less updates and releases than a Wii U

The minimum was to acknowledge the community by letting us know that the update would come late or that they would not append.

My own feeling is that while we would all like regular updates, the community management team are doing stuff behind the scenes, so I'd cut them a little bit of slack and give them a bit of Christmas spirit and goodwill and they'll give us all an update when they're ready to do so.

Doesn't mean to say I wouldn't like an update, just we need to have a little patience.

Kudos appreciated if deserved.

@GraceFromGoogle Thank you Grace I appreciate it. I believe in Stadia potential and I try to do my part in the community. I am not sure how much support and information you and Chris are receiving from the top and what are the plan to develop the social aspect of Stadia but I believe it will play a big part in the succes of the platfrom.

We need to give them some more time, it havent been out there for a month yet.

Im very unpatient too, and i want updates on upcoming sales, upcoming releases, future plans of improvments and stuff like that on a weekly basis.

But again im sure they working 100% on stadia and they have a plan, they also try to solve how they can convince people around. It’s so much haters around and bad reviews from people that dosnt even own a stadia...

Stadia works 100% and it fit my needs very well.

I hope that they also have a plan with Rockstar games to improve rdr2 to be 4K, and bringing us the new moonshiner dlc very soon.

The problem is that everything is freaking vague. Yes the service is out for 3 weeks and :

  1. We don't know when the December games will be released exactly
  2. We don't know what other games will be released Q1 2020
  3. We don't know what are the next features to be added nor when they will be added
  4. We don't even know what they're doing in general

I mean if we have had a Stadia Connect on release date it would be fine and most people would chill. We need a Connect early January to clarify everything and announce contents.

I don't think this is about time or development. I worked for multinationals in a similar position and what I read into Grace post is that she is not giving much informations from higher up or from development.

I am reading into this of course but I believe it is more about a multinational inefficiency to pass informations from a department to another.
