Does Stadia have plans to keep all their games only on Google servers? Or are they going to merge with console and pc servers so that we have more than 50 people online on a game. Xbox Cloud and Geforce Now both have access to the same servers that normal console and pc players have.
I'm just asking because not having people online ruins most games that have multiplayer. It feels like we aren't getting a full game essentially. Like Destiny 2 for example. Most of the game revolves around multiplayer events and such. But because the servers are so dead, most of the content has 0 players at all times.
I say make it so we can play with the rest of the world, or find a way to attract more players to Stadia so it doesn't feel like an empty shell of single-player only games.
Hello @CaptGiggles,
Google or Stadia are supporting crossplay. I am afraid it is up to the developers to make crossplay possible.
Example with Destiny 2 this will get crossplay in the next major update. Crossplay has been enabled for Rainbow Six: Siege and Borderlands 2 just got crossplay.
It really depends on the developers, but it is getting more and more common to apply crossplay. The most crossplatform Stadia sees at the moment is with PC players. Lets hope this crossplay trend keeps going! ![]()
