Playing Destiny 2 on my PC, a few days ago I started having around 3-4 seconds of input lag.
I tried a lot of basic steps on my own including information I found here. I contacted Stadia support and they walked me through additional troubleshooting and nothing worked. They opened a ticket with Google support. I got an email from Google with a few more steps and again nothing worked. The only remaining piece of advice they could give me was to contact the publisher, but Bungie doesn't have a customer support line.
Things I have tried include
I am on Windows 10 with an ethernet connection. When I check my connection to Stadia, it tells me the connection is "great". When I check my general internet speed, it tells me the connection is "very fast". This computer does not have wifi capabilities.
On my Apple laptop which is maybe 7 years old, I don't have the input lag problem. However, the laptop has no ethernet port and can only connect to wifi, and my wifi is not really fast enough to play Destiny. (So I don't have input lag, but I have other problems.)
If it's a problem on Bungie's end, I don't understand why it would behave differently on different devices. If it's something with Stadia, I don't know how Google support could be totally stumped. Any ideas?
Hello @morokei,
If it runs good on other hardware it is not Stadia, your internet connection, or Bungie for that matter. But it could be that your Windows machine has something running or your drivers are.
I had some issues like that on some Windows machines machines and fixed most of them by trying the following:
Looks like something on your Windows machine is causing issue. ![]()
