If Stadia wants to improve...

... its player-base, why not allow games owned on PC playable on Stadia?

I rarely buy games, I simply cannot afford to waste money on frivolous things as I have a family to support, but need something fun so I accept the occasional game purchase. Now Ghost Recon Breakpoint has come to Stadia at full price, that I already paid. I should pay again? It is a PC game Stadia is running, not something exclusive like consoles. At most they are making modifications to enable a PC game be played on Stadia.

With such a low player-base, why charge for a game already owned? In the very least offer a discount to those already owning a game.

I have Stadia, the controller, yes, but my PC gets used far more often, thanks to Google for overcharging for old games, or charging for owned PC games, or a complete lack of games on offer.

Try to imagine Stadia being an own platform, just like an own console.

If you bought a new Series X and had a PS4 before, you would not ask for free games because you already bought them on your previous platform, would you?

Try to imagine? I could imagine my mobile phone a console too, but it's far from that, as is Stadia. Stadia uses PC games on a server which we stream. That is PC gaming.

Stadia cannot allow you to play a given game on their servers if you own the key on another store for two simple reasons:

- stadia is not windows based, it is based on Linux and needs specific support and development from game developers to support a given game.

- they could allow you to use their specific version of a game, if you own that game on epic store or steam or anything else, but it would be bad for their profits. Indeed, differently from services like geforce now, you are not forced to have any subscription once you own the stadia version of a given game

Following that logic, PS5, Series X and so on is basically PC gaming and therefore you should be allowed to play your Steam-library on it.

By that meaning it should be possible to play my Switch games on my mobile as this is basically similar... or so.

Sounds wrong? It is imho.

I hate to disappoint but stadia runs it's own version of the game just like ps4/5 and xbox series/one x. PC games are not made to run on those consoles so why would they run on a different console? Besides switch, which is portable, stadia is in all terms, besides portability, a console not a PC. Please don't try to make an argument that stadia is a PC because if it is a PC then so is a ps4/5, xbox series/one x and nintendo switch due to those systems also run a PC operating system

ooof i guess forgot stadia is it's own platform, you want ps4 games on steam for free too? it doesn't work like that and no one forces you to buy a game " twice " just buy the game on the platform you enjoy or available simple. i guess stadia has to do a better job explaining the difference between GFN and stadia and how it works cause people still don't get it smh also overcharging the same price as other platforms? where were you when sales were going on ??? or did you not notice limited amount of games so sales happen once a month sometimes twice a month. =[

Asinine response.

In the end, it's you who suffers for a COMPLETE LACK of games available, as well as far higher prices for games such as Ass Creed recently put up on Stadia at triple the cost on any other platform.

You want Stadia to become popular, you had better drop the protective act.
