IPad Pro keyboard & mouse?

Hi there

Stadia does not recognize the iPad Pro magic keyboard (or bluetooth keyboard) + bluetooth mouse as such controller input. Why?

I can only use touch controls on the iPad Pro but not the classic keyboard & mouse inputs.

Any idea how to fix this if even possible?

Stadia on iOS only has controller support, most likely because it's considered a mobile device.

On the iOS help article it states:

Controller support

Follow the instructions below to use the Stadia Controller or a supported third-party Bluetooth controller to play Stadia on your iPhone or iPad.

Stadia Controller

  1. If you're using a Stadia Controller with your Wi-Fi network for the first time, set it up in the Stadia app ViviFFIX_0-1623193921060.png.
  2. After your controller is set up on your Wi-Fi network, open the Stadia app ViviFFIX_1-1623193921061.png and tap the Controller icon to check if updates need to be applied to your controller.
  3. Sign in to Stadia and link your Stadia Controller wirelessly to your iPhone or iPad.

Third-party Bluetooth controllers

Supported controllers include the DualShock 4 controller and the Xbox One controller. To use them with Stadia, just connect them with Bluetooth to your iOS device.

Note: Wired controllers are not officially supported with Stadia on iOS at this time.

It could be worth using the feedback feature in the app to suggest that they add support on iOS :slightly_smiling_face:

Weirdly enough, if i have a controller connected it will pick up the keyboard part of the magic keyboard as input, but i cant use the touch pad or a bluetooth mouse for the mouse side of the controls, would be cool to see it added though!

I don’t believe Safari on iOS supports mouse capture, which is likely the issue here; Stadia simply isn’t “allowed” to take over the mouse

Hi everyone,
This is an older post so we're going to go ahead and lock it now. If anyone still needs help after trying the suggestions here, I'd recommend creating a new post so that you can get better visibility in our community.

Thank you,
