I can't load any game

When I try to load a game, Stadia always tells me: "Restart the game If you want to continue playing, just start the game again ", but I can not get into the game so far I have only tried it on googel chrome as I do not yet have a chromcast. So you see I can't continue to play a game which hasn't loaded very often. It loaded 2 times once after serveral retrys and a nother time after several retrys by using the controler to start the game.

@Ginto99 : I'm in the UK and not experiencing any issues with games loading on Chrome.

A few things to check:

  • Are you connecting via WiFi or Ethernet?
  • What sort of speeds are you getting reported from the speedtest URL: https://projectstream.google.com/speedtest
  • Have you been able to load and run any games yet on Stadia or has it never worked?
  • Which games have you tried and do you get the same issue with every game?

As you don't have a Chromecast device, I am assuming that you were given a Buddy Pass.  Are you in a Stadia supported country, or are you using a VPN to get access from another country location?

Just trying to get some ideas as to what might possibly be a cause.

Kudos appreciated if deserved.

I've been having this same issue, very annoying. I have been using Stadia since launch and never ran into this issue until this week.

I typically access Stadia through Chrome on my laptop. I went on a work trip, and paid extra for the enhanced wifi at the hotel to play. Clicked on the game I wanted to play, and got the loading circle which eventually gives me the same message (reopen the game to play).  But that doesn't work. Tried other games, same issue. I gave up. Then the next day while at the airport I tried again. This time it loaded fine.

I get home, and now run into this issue about ever other time I try to open any game. The only solution I've found is to close out the game I'm trying to play (say Rage 2), then open Destiny 2 (which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't), then close Destiny and open Rage 2. This happens with every game, so it's not specific to one title. Sometimes it takes several attempts.

Never had this issue until now. I was fully into Stadia, but this loading issue is turning me off. I assume it's some sort of glitch where it thinks a game is still open or something, and won't allow it to load? If this continues, I'll probably cancel my pro membership and stick with consoles. First world problems I know. But if I'm paying for a game and service, and some glitch isn't letting me access my content, it puts me off to continue using Stadia.

Yup, welcome to stadia. Cancel any subscription while you can. Launching on my pc through web browser first few times and all I get currently is a black screen 4ever. Have to close and reopen multiple times until it actually works. Stadia is an extreme failure.

This issue has been going on since I started playing on launch.

What add blocker on chrome browser are you using that is preventing the game to work.... knowing they are considered extensions of the google browser means they are APPROVED by google makes it kind of .... weird? Not like i can create my own ad blocker and install the extension without googles permission .....

chrome and every other browser have some standard security things installed. I mean by chrome and others there is this "i" in next to the link and there stands if the system trusts the website. The default setting is that pop ups are blocked. That was what i needed to change to get the games running. @CajunWaffles
