I bought Baulder's Gate 3 on stadia and now want to play it on my PC

Jump to Best Response

I paid full price for BG3 about a year ago when it first came out on Stadia as my PC at the time was incapable of running it.  I got a new PC recently that can run BG3, and would like to play the game on it without Stadia for a few different reasons.

Can the game be downloaded to play on my new PC?

If you want to download it and play it on your PC, then yes – you'll need to buy a license for your PC. But, if you own it on Stadia, you can continue to play it through the browser on your PC for as long as you want. You don't need to pay for a Stadia Pro subscription to do that – you already bought the game on Stadia.

Why not Zoidberg?

Hello @Wholesome

It looks like it's available for the PC from either Steam or GOG. Stadia is not a "virtual PC" in the cloud – it runs games built for it (just like a Playstation or XBox run games built for those platforms).

So you're saying that I would have to buy the game again to play on my PC?

Or I could pay a monthly fee to Stadia to play the game I purchased?
