Hello my friends.
I bought Division 2 in the Ubisoft Store (Uplay). How can i play this game with Stadia on my TV? The Stadia shop says i have to buy it at Stadia again?
I have to buy this game 2 times??
Yes that's how Stadia works unfortunately. You have to either choose Stadia to buy on, or any other platform (Ubisoft Connect aka formerly UPlay, Steam, Epic Games, etc.). All those other platforms will link to and can stream through GeForce Now for example but unfortunately Google went the stupid way and you HAVE to buy through Stadia's store to play on Stadia. It's why I returned my pre-ordered Stadia package last year when I realized this and how garbage it was.
I only saw this because I heard Ubisoft+ sub will be one sub and can play on any platform including Stadia so no need to buy games once (or twice) so maybe wait for that to happen apparently sometime before the end of this year.
Thanks for your help. ![]()
So you returned your pre-order, you don’t have Stadia but you’ve signed up to a Stadia forum and you’re posting answers to questions....fair enough! ![]()
Well Stadia sucks right now. Business model too is not what gamers are liking.
What the hell are you talking about. It's the same business model we've had since the beginning of video games. Except now you don't need to buy the console You just buy the game.
E.g. Luna runs like Netflix model. Good for casual gamers and you don’t have to buy the games. Just play anything you like.
Stadia makes you buy the game pretty much traditional, something that still needs disrupting.
I had been playing on Stadia for 6 months now and recently switched completely to Luna. Because every time I am not sure about a game, I ended up buying it on Stadia and then leaving it after 1-2 days. Hope you are getting what I mean?
the post was about Ubisoft games and if you can play your titles bought on Ubisoft on stadia...... Not for your LOVE FOR LUNA...No need to share it with those that don't care what you think.
Luna Will be more like prime vidéo than Netflix...
You have to pay for each différents channel... And a 5.99 subcription channel is require to subscribe to any other.
a trapshot system for people Who dont understand stadia and game pass are both better solution.
I think you even cant buy a game to keep IT forever. If they decide to remove it just done for your game...
@Mehmeh Stadia is not Luna, if you want Luna then there's always... Luna, lol. And Stadia's Chief has said more than once, that Stadia is not intended to be like Netflix. That's not what Stadia is trying to do, so people should stop mentioning Stadia and Netflix, or Stadia and Luna, or Stadia and any other platform that WANTS to be the Netflix of games together in comments.
@Quantum-Travel Ubisoft announced not too long ago that they are trying to bring Uplay+ (I think now it's Ubisoft+) to Stadia by the end of the year. If you don't want to re-buy the games on Stadia, and if you have a Ubisoft+ subscription, you will eventually be able to play all of the games included in Ubisoft+ by using your Ubisoft+ subscription on Stadia. That's the only way you would be able to play games you own somewhere else (PC, Console, etc) on Stadia without buying the games again.
Isn't Luna setup to have paid channels, so more like Apple TV (or Amazon Prime!) with some free titles on the free channel but the need to subscribe to developers channels to play loads of games...
I had Ubisoft+ once but they were not playable with GeForce Now. Only bought games were. And you can't buy games on GeForce Now but stream games you bought on a download platform.
Nowadays I buy new games on Stadia und use GeForce Now for my legacy games.
