Hello,
I have an ideapad l340 gaming laptop connected to my hisense 50r7+ and an 80 Mbps connection. Stadia recognizes that i have up to 4k in the settings and i am able to select it, however, when I run any game on stadia and check connection it says "unsupported by device" next to 4k and hdr
Check list:
I have Pro.
Tv has 3 hdmi slots that all support 4k@60hz.
My laptop has an hdmi slot that supports 2.0 and 2.1 connection which easily outputs 4k@60hz
HDR and 4k is set up correctly in my TV settings.
The display settings on my laptop has my tv being the dedicated monitor. My gpu is set to 4k resolution that matches my tv, and i have set google chrome to only run on my high performance gpu.
I have no anitvirus that is blocking any connections.
What do I do! I can understand if this was only a cyberpunk problem for me but so far i have tried hitman 2 and sniper elite 4 to make sure its more than one game. HELP!
Hi @Cafe,
One thing you can try is the unofficial plugin Stadia Enhanced.
With this plugin you can force the resolution and the VP9 codec.
That definitely helped the 4k so thanks for that! However, does hdr work? I know my tv fully supports it as I use it for my xbox one x and i have an hdr notification that pops up when ever my tv detects it. This notification does not pop up when i run games on stadia so im assuming it has to do with my output.
As i stated my laptop has a 2.0b hdmi port and it has HDPC 2.2. So it should out hdr as well. Is it a stadia thing that hdr just isnt working or detecting it?
By my knowledge HDR is not yet supported on the Chrome browser.
HDR is available on the Chromecast Ultra.
