Google Chrome TV box

Just ordered my stadia controller and Chromecast ultra after trying it out on my chrome browser.  Very impressed and looking forward to staying with Google on this one.  I live in a rural town but lucky enough to have high speed internet, thankfully.

Has anyone heard of a possible chrome box made by Google for release?  One that has a controller for everyday tv.  I think Google would have had a larger release if aside from the CC ultra they had their own tv tv on release.  This would have won over the basic tv consumers but left open the gaming aspect of adding stadia with little effort.

Again I'm very impressed and haven't experienced any bad connection issues etc.  Played destiny 2 for quite some time last night and had a blast.

Thank you all.

@Mountainman What do you mean by chrome box? Are you referring to Chrome Bit that sticks that was released years ago? Or are you wondering if some type of console box will be released in the future for the purpose of Stadia? Either way, there's currently no such plan. I think currently they want to focus on chrome browser, chromecast, and phone experience.

Stadia Guides are not employed by Google. Opinions are my own.

A set top box sort of like apple or Roku.  Sometimes I think it's cool to have something visible on the tv stand to display.  Google could have put it's lights on the front of the box to give it some flare as well a tv remote for when you wanna stream Netflix or such.  Just an idea.  This could have brought on board some casual folks who don't game, but may buy into stadia by just adding a controller.

This is probably what you're looking for. Not released yet, somewhere along the line Google believed those that insist on remotes for TV devices.

Personally I prefer the Chromecast method of control where I use another device (or voice using their Assistant), since it gives me much more control overall instead of only what's on screen. Oh well.
