Genral question about stadia

Jump to Best Response

Hey,

So I live in the UK (birmingham to be exact)

Over wifi I get 45mb down and anything between 11 and 18mb up.

Ping is no higher than 11ms and jitter ranges from 1 to 3 ms

Do you think these network conditions will run stadia well?

I can use a wired connection but I have no way to text ping and jitter ect.....

I'd love to try stadia but I don't want to waste time if it will be no good.

Thanks

@Westwoodto for a 4K stream you will need 35+ Mbps and you have more.

So in theory if everything is well it should work just fine.

Hello @Westwoodto,

Why don't you just try it in your Chrome browser?

Just visit: https://stadia.google.com/games/destiny-2 and start playing for free!

There is no easier and better way to test than just try a game. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I have tried it via my s20 ultra over wifi and it was unplayable!

I am hoping that cc and a wired connection will do the trick.

Hiya @Westwoodto,

Do you have a laptop laying around to try the ethernet connection?

And is your WiFi running on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?

For best performance you should try 5 GHz. :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi @RXShorty

It was 5ghz but I only have a standard sky hub which I think may be the issue.

I'm just going to take the hit, I've pre res 8 so I get a free Premier edition.

Here's hoping :folded_hands:it works.

@Henrique

The router does support 5ghz and the phone is the note 20 ultra.

I think the phone isn't supposed thats why I had issues.

check if the router is configured correctly and if the note 20 ultra is connected by the router's 5 ghz network !! some routers are transmitting on both frequencies !!!
