Games not responding to controller...

Jump to Best Response

Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g

Android 12

MIUI 12.1.2

Razer Raiju/Kishi, bluetooth/usb-c.

Stadia app and phone detect usable gamepad. It works, but ingame has zero response to any input given. Used to always work... No longer, since few days...

Haven't been able to find a fix.

Any idea?

I suspect this is due to the fake android version miui, which also makes many other apps non-functional on my phone.

Hi @Greenhill,

Maybe a Stadia app caching issue.

Could you try to clear the cache of the Stadia app? This has to be done with the settings --> apps of your phone.

Thanks, haven't tried that before, and the app completely reset, but still, the game is not responding.

App responds to controller and phone aswell. Weird... This has never happened before.

Everything seems to be working fine. Even the sound is ok. Image all fine. Internet all fine. Tried different connections even. Wifi, mobile, bluetooth, usb-c.The controller is detected. Disabling controller, the touchpad controls work fine, game responds to those. But not my controller. Yet the app responds to my controller, why not the game? Very strange. The app even detects my controller as a valid one and lets me play, but pressing all buttons, yet... No response whatsoever...

Today the same, for 4 days now.

I also tried the Xbox One controller today, same. App responds, I can even start the game using the controller. But in game, nothing responds to any of the buttons.

I have exactly the same issue. I updated from miui 12.0.2 (android 10) to miui 12.1.2 (android 11) an suddenly the controller is not working anymore on apps that were working before. Same mobile phone Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5G. Also tried some games recommended in razer kishi app with no luck. And tried to disable all the accessibility features of the phone with no luck either. Thinking on returning the product.

Don't even think about it, do it. I'm selling mine, can't return anymore.

But thanks for the reply this confirms it even more so. Xiaomi is just bad. People have contacted them before on ps4 and psnow issues, and they didn't even respond or care. And MIUI is very misleading imo.

I am also on a Xiamoi device, using the Razer Kishi, with the exact same issue, so that seems to settle it then, it's a Xiaomi issue. I'm still keeping my Kishi because I got a deal on it, and the gamepad is nice, it's just the phone that's suckin. Very disappointed to hear that this is the cause, because otherwise this phone is fantastic (after flashing a custom rom and getting rid of stock MIUI of course).

Just a lil BTW, I've had success running DuckStation with my controller, and imagine other emulators will work as well, so it's not a total loss.

I find the idea of "using the stadia controller while using Stadia" as the best option, in comparison to using any other gamepad, such as Razer's.
