I just started my Stadia account and basically have three things to say. 1: The concept is great. Probably the most impressive and the most potential of anything out there, but the downfalls are catastrophic. 2: Game selection is really really bad. It’s basically the games you’d get for free from any console’s online store (or at least similar in quality). 90% of gamers only play about 2% of the games out there. None of which you offer. Adding games like Minecraft and Fortnite would make you a true competitor. I understand developers are an issue there, but you’re Google. Pay them to help you grow! Otherwise watch Stadia fail despite its world of potential. 3: Bandwidth caps. I have 6 freaking kids in my home and a 2TB data cap. My ISP doesn’t offer a plan without a data cap that I’m aware of but if all 6 of them were playing Stadia the amount they play Xbox we’d be in excess of 5-6TB per month. It’s not even possible.
I am genuinely impressed by the platform concept but as you can see, for a serious gamer or home of gamers Stadia’s otherwise impressive platform is nearly useless with the limited games and data limitations. Again. You’re Google. I get the feeling you’ll make it work, but there’s some serious obstacles to overcome first.
Welcome to Stadia @Bowlofpunk2 !
Since you just started you may have not noticed that the game selection is increasing steadly! so we may expect more and more game to be available, as you said some game will be a nice addition, but we can only wait for developers to port the game!
For the bandwidth cap sadly there isn't too much that could be done to solve it since the service relies on internet connection to let you play games without installing or download, but there is still something you can do! if you go in the settings you can lower the resolution in order to use less data!
