Game Forum? Also... FFXV and NBA2K20

So this is 2 separate questions... At some point shouldn't we have a separate forum to ask questions or share information/experience with the actual games, instead of having to use this "General" forum". There's one for the APP, and one for the Controller, but nothing for actual game discussion. Aaaaaand.... on that note, FFXV and NBA2K20 are both back on sale. I've NEVER played any FF games, and haven't played NBA in a few years at least. Is FFXV a good game to buy, particularly for only $20? And how do you guys like NBA2K20? Would you buy it again if you had the choice, and which version currently on sale would you buy? I know that's a lot, any opinions on some or all of that are welcome. Thanks!

@Xevioso About the game If you never played Final Fantasy before It's my opinion you should probably wait for the next one or the remake they are working on. This one could be hard to get into since there is  to many gameplay and design flaws. Final Fantasy is a amazing franchise but if I didn't play previous versions before I think I would not have like it.

NBA2k his always amazing year after year they find ways to make it interesting. I did prefer last year version a little but it's still amazing and my most played game so far on Stadia and I have most games. The port is very good now that the loading bug is fixed and the community is slowly but surely growing.

You can Always add me in-game for 2k or Borderlands @northlight#8463

I collect Kudos for living.

Alright so I can reply about FFXV. I completed the game on Stadia a few weeks ago.

First, it doesn't matter if you didn't play the other FF games, each episode is different but they all share some references (such as chocobo, mana, gils, summons, musics, some monsters, each titles is about a group of heroes and includes both politics and ancient stuffs).

This one has very different combats mechanics than the others. And it's not even ATB like FFXIII. Honestly I didn't like these combats at all.

In this episode there are less j-rpg elements than other games : you have a group of people but you cannot change the group, build your own teams, etc. It's not bad, it's just a different game to what we were used to.

The story is about 40h long for the main game but you could spend a lot longer in the world, since it's an open-world game with hunts, side quests, exploration. The game is bundled with all DLC. There are contents for 300h if you wanted.

I found the story weak in comparison to other FF games, although it has some terrifying scenes. Also there are less characters to play, and I found some of the main characters to be annoying actually. But someone else may think they're cool.

Despite a lot of annoyance, the game is extremely addictive. I was hooked to the game and I loved to drive the world. It's a real pleasure to go to every place. And it is really beautiful. There are secrets everywhere so you really want to explore both for this and just because you want to see it.

So yes it's a good game. I was initially disappointed because I'm used to other FF games, but in the end I just couldn't stop and i had a great time. And no one can complain about the content, it's definitely worth the price.

@Northlight @Nilas thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback. I think I'm going to go ahead and get FFXV. Based on what Nilas said, it sounds like something I would like once I get into it and hopefully Stadia gets the bugs fixed.

I'm probably going to decide about 2K before the deadline. I think the sale ends on the 15th.

Now we just gotta convince the mods to create a separate Game Discussion forum. I mean... It IS a gaming platform, so that seems like a no brainier that game discussions shouldn't have to be in the General forum. Anyways, thanks again!
