Hey, like the title says, is there a way to share regular free weekend games via Family Sharing?
As it stands now, if one member has Pro, they can share the pro games with the family members on the plan.
However, for the free weekend games (this week is Marvel Avengers & Olympics), they don't seem to be shareable, at least for the span of the weekend. The member with Pro can play but the other family members are prompted to sign up for Pro. Am I missing something?
Hi @xYardie
You are not missing something. As the text states at the blog: If you’re a Stadia Pro subscriber, play the whole weekend without spending an extra cent.
With a Stadia Family you share your gaming catalog (including claimed Pro games) but this cleary states you have to be a Pro member for the free to play games. Hope this clears things up. ![]()
I bought Tokyo Olympics before the free play. I have family sharing on. My brother(Pro Subscriber) couldn't play with me. Kept saying that there was already an instance of the game running (me). Had to turn family sharing off and finally my brother was able to use the Play for free button on the App. I'm guessing we would have to do the same on any other free weekend if one of us already owns it. Both of us use a Stadia Controller and the CCU.
