Founders Edition - Invite Codes Expectations

Could you please help shed some light on the timing of when we can expect the invite code if our founders edition has been shipped.  Many customers have received the notification that their Founders Edition has been shipped; yet still have not received the Invite Code.  Any communication seen so far indicates that if someone received confirmation of shipment that they would receive an email on 11/19 @ 9am PST.

I think any clarifying information will be helpful to quell any concerns us founders have.

Still NO CODE. Still no way of getting a code. My Founders Pack arrived 8 days ago and I still cannot use it - it's a brick. Utterly useless.

@TVE2020 if you still haven't received your code by now, the Stadia-support Team can help you out and send you one.

The only thing you need is the Serial number of the founder's edition (should be no problem, because you have it) and the order-number (you can find this one in your profile > orders on store.google.com or also on your transaction in pay.google.com).

There was no real answer here. Google's communication is not great and they are being super sketchy about all this. Chris followed that up saying they fixed the issue and they are rolling out codes in the order received. What they don't give you is a timeline. My guess is now that they received the money for all the orders shipping, it is going very slowly as they ship codes and ramp up service until they find the sweet spot. So if you ordered a day late, may not get your code for a day. If you ordered a week late, who knows. If you ordered in August or September, all bets are off. They have your money but aren't in a rush to have to stand up new instances to onboard people. Just my guess, I received my controller at 10am EST today (19th). Still have not received a code. I ordered one week after pre orders started though. Who knows at this point.

The fact that you have your hardware before folks like me who ordered on Day One is proof enough that Google completely stumbled on this. I expect a lot of unhappy folks asking for compensation. I expect Google to so ZERO about it.

Sad. Do better, Google. Do better.

@SVShooter I hope you received your code by now. I finally received mine after 8 hours yesterday. Not sure if this is a coincidence but looking back at my FE order - I placed it 8 hours after they sent the official email to pre-order Stadia. After taking time out of my day to be available to hit F5 for a brief period of time, at 9am PST I received the code 8 hours later. Google communicated this horribly....they did say in the order received, but they should have been more prescriptive in setting expectations with the customers. I travel for work often and was away this week, but played some last night over hotel wifi and in the office today as well to test on multiple connections. Overall have been very impressed! Only issues I had were on hotel wifi when I was getting only 10mbps haha. Over 40mbps in office today it was almost flawless. I make it home tonight and will play a bit on 1000 mpbs connection with controller.

I ordered my founders edition 9 days after it was available. Hoping I don't have to wait 9 days for a code.

@Dan, thanks for the reply. It is great to hear it is working well. I travel a lot so I have great hopes for Stadia. To answer the question, nope, I still have not received my code. I'm fearful that somehow its just lost in the system. I am now 29 hours since launch and 31 hours since I got my controller. No mention from Google where they are in the process. I think that is the biggest disappointment. I have been hearing that people that order now are getting the codes. Not sure if that is confirmed, but certainly it indicates there are problems with the founders rollout. I'm a bit cheesed I'm out $130 for a platform I can't play yet.

I ordered June 7, received controller November 19, it's now November 20 and they've "fixed the issue" but I still haven't received a code...

 

So let me get this straight: hardware shipped in order of receipt

Our controllers shipped

Now they're sending out codes in order of receipt

But you nor I have received a code?

 

Doesn't sound like it's fixed.

I ordered the controller on June 12, received it today (Nov. 20) but have not received an invite code. :disappointed_face:

Yeah, not received anything here. I had wondered previously why they didn't send out the code before sending out the device, then thought perhaps it was coming with the device. Nothing has materialised though, although I am a later order (Oct)... Any further update from Google? Can't see anything more, surely it's just generating some codes and sending out emails. I can help them with a script for that if necessary (that's a joke)!

My Founders edition arrived today, pre-ordered Founders edition 26th July. Quite simply my expectation was to receive my code with my hardware, or at least via email on release day.

Don't forget to mention the 30 minutes wait for the helpline to respond to then be told that you cannot get the code because you don't have your serial number to hand!  Thanks for that.

I would like an official time expectation.

Why are users getting stuck with Pre-order dates. 

If you Pre-Ordered for the 19th November - Then all users who did should have access at launch like mentioned.

STADIA Please done use Pre-order dates as an excuse when you OFFICIALLY released on 19th Nov 2019. 

As Tech giants you knew exactly what you meant when giving this date - Hence the general unhappiness around your users.

Not sure if anyone else noticed - When you installed the Chromecast Ultra your received an email - It should of been at this point there was a link to receive your Invite Code when using your pre-ordered account.
