Does anyone know if there will be any free games (Stadia Pro) for the next month?
or is it still early to announce any new?
I was hoping that they hadnt realised details of the Feb' games, as they were planning on providing that information alongside a bigger post - confirming the plans regarding stadia-base. You would have thought now was the time to get that in motion, considering there are going to be quite a few folks cancelling their pro-sub soon, when the 3-months are up. We will see though I guess.
I can’t understand how so many websites have the February free games for Stadia update but not this site....assuming the information is correct it’s pretty poor from Google.
Basicly i think this Reddit post sums it up quite nice
"Stadia has officially gone 40 days without a new game announcement/release, feature update, or real community update. It has been out for 69 days. It's time we demand better."
And personally i thought that the main homepage for Stadia would be the place that delivered the updates, instead of a 3 party page as 9to5google but looks like i was wrong.
Personally speaking - I have been disappointed with how "dead" the stadia store page is. I do check it most days and seeing nothing new, no new deals, no new games for an extended period of time -and it hardly inspires confidence.
With that said, I read that reddit post and didnt agree with it entirely. I knew what we were signing up to - a product that was still in development. To expect the wish-list of features in place or set to a time table within less than 70 days of release is a tad over optimistic.
Yes Stadia is still in the start up phase ( and have still lots of potential)
But still when it's been that quiet with no official announcement for that long on a product that just started up, I would say it is far from optimal marketing strategy.
It went completely dead for a long time and we are finally now actually starting getting updates and pro deals and actual information.
But after the Reddit post I linked antoo aboved with the amount of answer's from Stadia players it got, pluss that it started trending.
The updates sadly feels a bit panicked and feels more that focused on putting out fires instead of being proactive and steering clear of actually creating fires from the start.
