[Feature Request] Let Chromecast Automatically Handle TV Power State

A great feature to add would be to allow chromecast to handle the TV's power state so that when Stadia is turned on from whatever source (be it with the controller, thought the app, or with a Google home) it would power on the TV and select the correct input. And when stadia is shut down it would send a power off signal automatically as well. Most big name consoles have this feature and it is very convenient. I think it would be a great addition to Stadia.

Except for the power off suggestion, CEC over HDMI already does this. I have a relatively old LG TV from around 2014 and with CEC enabled, powering on the controller turns on the TV when I start up Stadia. Granted, it's a little buggy and doesn't always work but when it does I feel like I'm living in the future.

This is true and a nice feature when it works, it would just be nice for it to be built into stadia itself with options to turn the feature on and off rather than relying on the TV's CEC feature. Mine used to turn my tv on that way too but for some reason it won't do it any more. I can already turn my tv on and off with my google home though, this would just be the icing on the cake.

If I remember correctly when I had my chromecast hooked up in the living room with my controller synced it would turn on the TV. Turning it off I don't think it did that sadly.

I got a new Samsung tv a week ago. The chromecast is able to power it on but not off. If I start stadia over the controller it powers the tv as well.

When I power on my Stadia controller it does turn my TV on...doesn't turn it off though.
