Does Stadia/Google plan on allowing GIANTS to implement the official Mod Hub to Farming Simulator 19?
Second this or at least some different maps too be added
I really hope so!!
I think when we say mods others (not pointing fingers or mentioning names) think we mean unofficial and untested mods from random mod site that redirects you to adfly(I hate adfly). Usually (in what seems to be most cases) we actually we mean the FS Mod Hub not the untested mods from somewhere else. The FS Mod Hub has so many great mods and I would love to see them come to the Stadia version of FS19. I also think this would be a huge benefit to Stadia and make the player base of FS19 on Stadia even bigger.
I really hope they can make this happen!!! Mods are really important part of playing FS19!!!
This is something I have always been curious as to how Stadia will handle. Obviously, it would have to go through some time of approval filter system but there are several games where Mods are the MAJOR selling point.
The real problem for the MOD-HUB on Stadia, (and we're talking about the official Mod-Hub, because only for PC it is possible to download third-party MODs not approved by Giants) is the space to be allocated in the cloud.
There would be no conversion problems, but the problem is: where do we put all the GB of the downloaded Mods?
Google / Stadia answers can only be 3:
1 - "We can not in any way dedicate so much space to Mod from which we do not get a cent."
(and in fact it is, now)
2 - "We are kind, and we allocate 5GB of useful space for anyone with Farming Simulator, we activate the Mod Hub and let you have fun !"
(too good to be true)
3 - "If you subscribe to the basic Google Drive subscription, we can enable you the Mod Hub."
(plausible choice)
@Cince I did figure that storage might be the issue but even so it would be nice that if you pay full price for a game you get the whole game. Having a Google account gives you 15GB of storage shared across Google Drive,Gmail, and Photos by default , which should be plenty as long as you don't download everything on the Mod Hub.
Yes, but not everyone can have 15 GB of free space yet. For example, I had to subscribe to Drive for the cloud, especially for the photos, which I need for work and office.
If in the Google team, they were kind enough to ensure a good dose of knowledge in agreement with Giants for their games, such as to guarantee the presence of the MOD HUB without having to know how to spend other games, it would certainly be very welcome !!!
And on the official Giants / Farming Simulator 22 website, in the Features of this page, they say that there will be the MOD-HUB, but I'm afraid it is the result of the copy-paste of the general description of the game. I sent an email to Giants for info about it, they replied like this:
...They didn't really want to get out of balance.
In short, we'll see. I would already be very happy if they dedicated the ModHub to FS22, since FS19 already smells of old!
(but it smells really good!)
I don't think things will change between now and November, but, the pre-order of Farming Simulator 22 is finally available in the Shop Stadia, and confirms the absence of the MOD HUB ...
I am very disheartened by this.
i hope so it would be fun
It is a in-game feature now so they need to bring this. Experience is better on any other platform. Lacking this is suicide for Stadia. Incomplete games, full price. I raged their support over this. There is this actual case now and this is oassed on to developersm I contacted Giants. They always wanted this in. Google says it is a developers choice.
I hope they actually get that they are killing themselves.
Now I hope Google takes some action.
My first 20 euro in an old sock for an xbox. I hope by the time it is fixed an cannsoend it in the stadia store.
Until then, I just can not buy a game there if you don't know what tou get.
I told them I bought this from them via their store and they are blocking content. Since this is a base game feature the game is just broken..
Stadia hope to see it in a future update, Giants wanted this in the first place. Now I hope they don't wait for the other to contact..
Mods installed in the basegame would be easiest since storage is a thing. Every game starts with a mod selection screen..
Paid stuff via their store. That changes the experience from worst to absolute best!
And they make a statement to gamers AND developers.
Every sold box could get a sticker 'best experience on Stadia' then.
Make your point at their support. Kinda feel alone on this.
