Extreme packet loss issue that gets solved after many refreshes

Hi everyone,

I had already posted on Reddit and contacted the customer service (I’m waiting for their supervisors to contact me after the conversation on facebook where they sent my ticket via the form to them) about this issue that has been going on since December.

I have a fiber connection via Fastweb, an Italian company, and I pass all the tests on Stadia’s speed test itself and on all the other web speed and connection stability tests, with no packet loss and low (<1) jitter. Last year Stadia has been working great, but since December I experience huge packet loss that makes the games unplayable on any device (pc, ios, chromecast ultra). The way to solve this issue is by refreshing the page or closing and reopening the browser. This happens both on wifi 5ghz and ethernet connection. Sometimes (very rarely) the games would start fine, most of the times I need to solve that issue by refreshing multiple times. After that, there’s almost no packet loss (0.000% to 0.006%) and I can play for hours with no problem. This issue happens no matter the day or time of the day. I tried all the troubleshooting on all the devices and tried changing Dns etc but the problem persists.

I read that recently there have been problems with another Italian operator, Tim, but that seemed to be a different problem as it was said to me by the customer service as well.

i am noticing small problemz myself ... i agree with thiz post ... im in the U.S.

The issues still persist, it's now a month and I just find it so weird that refreshing the page can fix it. Does this happen to anyone else?

Hi! Max here, from Italy, connecting through Fastweb+Openfiber. I have huge problems due to data loss playing both on pc or CCU. No matter which hour (day/nigh) I'm playing. Did you find any solution?

Hi, I wasn’t able to solve the issues, which persist even after following all the troubleshooting with the Stadia support. They asked me to send videos of the issue and try all the things they said but nothing helped, so they told me that there was nothing else to do, sadly.
